I’m Katy, the farmer of Farmer and Frenchman and I hold a PhD in Anthropology, specializing in biocultural medical anthropology. My work has gone far beyond studying wellness—I’ve conducted original research on how health practices are understood and lived across cultures.
For over 20 years I’ve practiced and taught yoga, guided by the precision of Iyengar alignment and the heart-centered, breath-led tradition of Dharma yoga. Yoga became the holistic method that consistently improved strength, supported flexible joints, and cultivated a clearer, more relaxed mind.
Here on the farm, those same principles shape our life: alignment with nature, patience with daily practice, and care for community. Yoga informs how we grow food, how we cook, and how I welcome students and guests into this unique rural sanctuary.
We limit each class to 8 students for personalized attention and a supportive environment where every body is seen. Reservations are required—please contact us to reserve your space. If you need to cancel, let us know promptly so we can offer your spot to others.
Many participants stay for dining after class, where our seasonal, farm-inspired meals extend the same mindful care you practice on your mat. Yoga, the gardens, and the kitchen work together to create holistic wellness and connection.
Beginner Foundations
A clear, step-by-step introduction to breath, posture, and essential poses using props and thoughtful alignment cues. For true beginners—judgement free zone.
Experienced Practice
An intelligently sequenced, invigorating class exploring inversions and arm balances while honoring breath awareness and joint health. Modifications provided.
Restorative & Meditation
Gentle poses, guided breathwork, and long relaxation to settle the nervous system. No experience required—simply come ready to slow down.
Strength Training
Resistance training blended with classic yoga strengthening holds with a modern calisthenics feel. Expect to sweat. All fitness levels welcome.
Private Study
One-on-one or small-group sessions rooted in alignment and personal intention.
